Mortal Kombat 1, when I was just 2, in 1993.
My cousin who was 12 at the time helped me past through it.

He was pretty amazing at the time with fighting games and competitions, but I took after him for a while after I grew older. So shocked at the fatalities as more sequels came on, I loved it more and more. Mortal Kombat II was the greatest as the first was when it came to "whoa" and "whoo" value, but the original had me at first impressions.

Turn on your light and they'll see you. Make a sound and they'll hear you. If you think it's scary being lost...

Just wait till you're found

I was about 5 or 6 when I played Mortal Kombat 2 on the Gameboy (I think I used either Kitana or Mileena, all I remember is that my character was female and I wasn't all that good. I think I lost to Baraka or Reptile. It had to be one of them because I remember that I was killed by a fatality that involved decapitation). I played my first real game of Mortal Kombat when I was 18. My mom got me UMK3(DS port) for Christmas.

goddamn i'm old. mk1 came out when i was 15, but i didn't care for it much. i thought sf2 was far superior at the time. i got into the series a year later when mk2 came out in the arcades. so 16.

The early 90's when I was just a wee lad. I used to go with my great uncle and his grandson to bowling with my family, but bowling bored me. There was the MK1 arcade machine that my cousin, my brother, and I and it was just very appealing and fun to play.

Well let's see, when the game came out in 1993, I was 2, and many of you are not going to beleive that a 2 year old could play video games. But if you believe that your older brother is helping you along the way, then yes, I was 2 years old when I first played the game.

I would have to say about maybe 5 or so it was Mortal Kombat on the good ol' SEGA Genesis it was really tight. And the first one I ever beat was UMK3 on the SEGA Saturn with Kitana. Those were the days. And remember that really cool MK movie and shit remember that awesome sequel... Kidding But remember how cool Annihilation was going to be or how cool you thought it could have been man what a let down THAT was! sad
