Plenty of DC heroes kill. Hell, John Stewart (an Earth GL) once made a sniper rifle with his ring to tag someone a few sectors away in the head. Not DC's fault most of the popular ones don't.

DC has the most enduring stories, the highest selling stories, and the stories recognised as some of the most significant literature to come from the medium.

To say nothing of the unfortunately superior product month-to-month.
Marvel have been in a creative slump for the best part of the decade, while DC have not necessarily delighted, but put forward a much stronger vision.

To be honest I'd have much rather preferred MK vs Marvel instead.
Besides Catwoman, I find a majority of DC characters to be really
lame. Marvel's Heroes have more diversity in my eyes, and are just
way cooler than DC in my opinion. I would have enjoyed so much
had Psylocke and Kitana been parallels instead of Kitana & WW.
And wow, Sindel vs Storm! that'd be awesome! wishful thinking.

Like msot Id have preferred an actual MK9, but from DC and Marvel, I guess I would ahve preferred Marvel, since I know and like more of the Marvel characters.

Batman (and batman related characters like Bane, Poison Ivy, Batwoman) and Zatanna are really the only DC characters I like. Whereas I like Beast, Captain America, The Thing, Polaris, Rogue, Scarlet Witch, Jubilee, Jean Grey, Gambit, Thor, Ms Marvel, Wolverine and so many more from Marvel.

I think both are as suited as each other though to an MK crossover, as weird an idea s an MK-Comic crossover is lol!

I would rather have THAT then DC. But now i just want a alone MK game. It's better to be at that imo.

I wouldn't mind another crossover game. But instead of Marvel, my top choices would be either Killer Instinct or Spawn Comics.

The trouble with MK Vs DCU in the first place it was clear that they would never be able to have a roster to completely satisfy the fanbases of both. For the first game at least.

It would have been exactly the same case with a potential MK Vs Marvel. We would have had 11 characters plus a secret character.

And we would have the inevitable: Would you have preferred MK Vs DCU? Topic.

Ultimately, if anything this crossover has proved is that MK fans are so immature. I don't remember Street Fighter fans crying on youtube and selling their stuff on ebay when Street Fighter Vs X-Men came out. Admittedly youtube and ebay werent around when it came out I think. But still, I don't think they committed suicide when they found out.

If MK Vs Marvel were to have happened instead of this game, do you honestly think it would be any different? Some characters would have been allowed to perform a fatality, some wouldn't. Gore would have been toned down to keep Marvel happy. The only difference would have been that it would have been Wolverine instead of Flash etc.

MK fans would have still cried on youtube and sold their stuff on ebay. Some people would bemoan the fact that there weren't enough characters on the roster. And John Tobias would have still drawn the comic book. And the final boss would have been ApocaKahn. Or something like that.

Marvel is so much better than DC. The only comics DC has that interest me are Lobo and The Watchmen. Everything else they do is boring as hell. Their characters are just the generic heroes that have barely changed over the years.

Marvel at least tries to change their characters and does things you wouldn't expect, like killing off Captain America. That took balls. DC would never kill off their precious Superman without a way of bringing him back to life. At least Marvel will let their heroes kill people even with a T rating.

You don't honestly think that Marvel will let Captain America stay dead, do you? He's one of Marvel's biggest characters. No matter how long, eventually everyone will be brought back at one point.

They killed off freaking Colossus a couple years back and he has returned.

He's been dead a lot longer than I expected so I give 'em props for that.

I find that in the great deal of experience I have talking to fans of comic books, Marvel tends to appeal more to teenagers, because many of their characters ARE teenagers, or behave like teenagers, living very overdramatic, angsty lives, while DC characters appeal more to adults, people who can relate to holding down steady jobs and tackling bigger, more important issues than just who's sleeping with who this month.

Granted, I'm saying that's just the case for most people, not everybody. But still, it would seem that a good chunk of the MK fanbase is still a little immature yet for the grown-up charm of Superman.

I think the only reason Marvel APPEARS to be doing better than DC is because they've been releaseing more movies. I'm really shocked at the number of DC heroes who haven't been given a shot at the big screen; it's been mostly just Batman and a little comeback from Superman.

I would have rather had Marvel. If theres one thing I was reminded of in MK vs DC it's how freakin 60's the DC characters still look. I mean, I know super heroes walk around in tights... but some DC characters look like their walking around in kids pajamas. Marvel characters look pretty cool... DC characters don't.

Plus marvel is a (generally) much darker world. You won't see superman get a bullet in the head when giving a public speech.

In my opinion a MK vs Marvel crossover would have been more enjoyable than this one vs DC. I was thinking about these matches...
- Sub Zero VS Iceman
- Wolverine vs Baraka
- Shang Tsung or Quan Chi VS Dr Strange
- Rayden VS Thor

DC was fine.

The Dark Knight is the biggest thing movie wise DC has had but in terms of trendy ness.

Right now everybody is riding Marvel. Movies coming off an assembly line.
