the spine rip really should of had more of a struggle. like in god of war when kratos kills helios.

Taking another watch, Sub-Zero's head rip fatality needs to be more violent than it is. I'm interested in seeing more of a fight from the victim -- for the head of the victim (maybe the victim could be trying to fight off his arm, and then S-Z punches or kicks the victim...then rips the head off. The spinal cord should tug a bit more per notch of the cord...ect). Also, didn't S-Z reach in-to the victims neck to get that spine before? And.... shouldn't there be more to the spine than what's there? Like more to the notches of the spinal cord.... not a longer cord, but a more graphic spinal cord.
hm...
I guess I'd ask for more punch initially, and then a more violent experience from that fatality overall. It's too passive of an exchange right now. The victim just "let's him do it" too easily the way it looks right now.

I was re watching the video and if you see Jax do the x-ray for the first time he sounds like he says "Get the fu.. Gothcha" It sounds like he is about to say "Get the fuck over here." That would be awesome and funny as hell.

Haha I heard that too
As for the Spine Rip, honestly it's one of my favorites from the whole series. I think I was happy to see it because we havn't had the 'original' spine rip in a long time. We've had variants, where Sub-Zero would rip out through the back or freeze the body and smash it with the spine and skull attached, stuff like that. But having the ACTUAL spine rip, it was refreshing. Personally, I was really, really happy to see it. I think I let out a cheer when I saw it.

Subway: I'm loving it. Wasn't too fond of it in the past, but this actually looks pretty awesome. (And I'm stil crying from the stage fataliy...friggen beautiful...)
Jax: I'm honestly not that into his look in general, but I do like the arms. And I will say that dispite my meh attitude towards him, it doesn't really bother me. His victory stance....it's kinda growing on me. I did love his little kissing of his muscle thing between rounds.
All in all, I'm just as excited as ever.

I don't think that is his real fatality in the game. I think it was just to demonstrate mo-cap with Geoff. Maybe it will be an extra fatality for the die hards who like the classics better. IDK. Still I doubt that is his main fatality.

I could honestly care less about the mini games. Tag fatalities are more important IMO. If time required I'd take tag fatalities over mini games.
The only exception being the test your might. That definitely needs to come back. If that's what there referring too, then it's all good IMO.

Guys, there aren't any bones when Sub-Zero puts the kill shot on Johnny Cage. He's literally just ripping out the spinal cord, not the whole column of bones with it, and if you ask me that makes it even better.

Jax=SNK grappler?
Totally ill if true.

can someone twitt ed and let him know to Jax should rip the arms off first and then clap the head with the arms and then throw the arms on the ground. that should be his finisher IMO. anyone agree?

I think the reason why no one cares is because he never said that. He said they haven't even finalized the roster yet so it could definitely be more or less, but the final number will for sure fall in the 20s. It'll most likely end up being 28 or 29 though. And that's not counting possible secret characters as well as DLC. So the roster might even go up to the 30s. We just have to wait and see.
Anyway, it would be a nice touch if we could see people riding the trains when your opponent is hit by the train.
Some speculations of stage fatality setups:
- At around the 3:10 mark on the gametrailers episode, Geoff says to Ed that JAX's environment is The Subway. And while Ed doesn't specifically repeat his words or anything, it is possible that some/all characters might have an arena they call "home". If this is the case, then maybe characters will have a special killing animation they do in their native environment, a la JAX's train face smash.
- If the former isn't true, then maybe the victor will perform a unique way to eliminate their adversary, where a stage hazard is present.
Then of course, it could be a mix of some of these elements and some of these scenarios could only apply sometimes.
But something is definitely up in this department. Because if you think about it, JAX wont be able to pull off the stage fatality we saw, unless he's fighting in The Subway.
But either way, this will be this first time in MK history that the characters interact so much with a stage hazard, other than just by hitting an enemy so they land in a pit/deathtrap, that we're so used to seeing.

That would make a lot of sense. And we've already seen a few characters claim certain arenas, like Scorpion & Hell and Reptile & The Pit. It would certainly introduce a new aspect into the game, with characters having an environmental advantage. This would work best with Shao Kahn his Coliseum o' Fun. For instance, he'd have access to things like THE TORMENTOR that weaklings like us could only dream of using. All the more to piss you off during a boss battle.
@Animosity83
Yeah absolutely. It should work like that. I mean what's the point of tearing the arms off afterwards, if your opponent is already dead when you have already obliterated his head? I mean isn't the point to make your enemy suffer?
But again, you have to think that if they wanted it truly realistic, you wouldn't be able to rip someones arms off or pulverize their head so easily with your bare hands. And especially the way body parts are so easily removed using bare hands in MK. Yeah, not my cup of tea (or blood in this case) either.
EDIT: Animosity83, now that I reread your post, I think your thoughts were a bit different from mine. Oh well...
