Eastwind is one of my favorites. Love his theme. I would have voted for Gus since Xorah's a bit too noble for my tastes, but in the end he's a bit of a tired joke.

I knew i should of added more to my character. Oh well. Here are my picks

Blizzard.

Here are my likes for blizzard. Alternate outfit is good. Fatality 1 is very interesting. Love your x - ray. Avalance swat is unique special move that has a very cool vibe.

Here are my dislikes for blizzard. Don’t really care for his primary outfit. To much use of xuehua blades. Your entrance is kind of cheesy. Why does he need a teleport? Would have been more interesting if he join Quan – Chi.

Overall score a solid 6.

Glacier.

Here are my likes for Glacier. Ice spike is neat. I enjoyed your fighting style. Decent entrance and victory pose. I liked that he killed his grandmaster and took his place.

Here are my dislikes for Glacier. Lack of an alternate seems a bit lazy. Not enough moves makes your character feel lacking.

Overall score of a 4.

Vipehr.

Here are my likes for Vipehr. Both outfits I enjoyed. Like your victory pose thought it was creative. Good to see that your character is neutral.

Here are my dislikes for Vipehr. What’s with the teleport? It doesn’t fit your character. Not enough moves. Your bio was kind of boring.

Here are my likes for Rik’Ki. Liked your primary attire. Thought your bio and ending was great. Really dug the spiritual cat special and fatality 1. drawing was neat.

Here are my dislikes for Rik’Ki. Disappointed that there wasn’t an alternate outfit. To much use of chanting. Fighting style was kind of blah.

Here are my likes for Remnant. Found your alignment interesting since your character is from outworld. Like your fighting style. Love your x – ray. Your entrance and victory pose was very intriguing.

Here are my likes for Neuros. Liked that he attacked Kung Lao. Whip trip is a neat special. Very cinematic fatal 2. It fits perfectly.

Here are my likes for Blight. Thought your outfit was great. Bio was very detailed and informative. Loved his fighting style. Kind of reminds me of zappa. Nice victory pose.

Luren/Uresula.

Here are my likes for Luren/Uresula. I like that your gender is a mix. It spices things up. Nice pic. I found it interesting that the fox turned into a women. Love your fighting style. It blends nicely.

Here are my dislikes for Luren/Uresula. Didn’t care for your 2nd attire. Her evasion seems bit unfair. Also the acrobatics seem really unfair. To much use of harpoon.

Sogratse.

Here are my likes for Sogratse. Nice drawing. Like the snake style. Enjoyed fatality 1.

Here are my dislikes for Sogratse. Lack of 2nd attire. Bio seems all over the place. Not to many specials. Entrance and victory pose are kind of boring.

Dead Soul.

Here are my likes for Dead Soul. I like the shadows appear and disappear. Liked that he killed Goro. X - Ray was great. Finisher 1⁄2 are excellent.

Here are my dislikes for Dead Soul. I didn’t care for the 2nf outfit. Lots of throws. To much use of lanterns.

Dai Kahn.

Here are my likes for Dai Kahn. Cool drawing. Like your 2nd outfit. Fatality 1 was interesting.

Here are my dislikes for Dai Kahn. The origin confused me. Didn’t care for your primary attire. Bio and ending were way to long. To much use of daggers.

Eastwind is definitely the best of these characters, Xorah excluded. His story is kinda like Mortal Kombat as an old Western. His special moves are also extraordinary, and his fatalities seem really cool. I like this guy.

Looks like Xorah is fighting again today! XD Btw, thank you to everyone who has said great things about Xorah. I worked hard designing her character, so thank you a lot! :)

Thanks for the run down of Alloy. Good tips. I didn't want to put too much into a bio, because it is a bio, but I have so much planned for him. But alas, he didn't make it so next competition you'll see more.

Basically the point of him was to be another alternation of the timeline. Because of him, Sektor doesn't gain control of the Lin Kuei forcing Sub-Zero to take it for himself and turn it good. The LK continue to be an assassin group for evil.

Alongside that, when Alloy dissolves Sektor, he absorbs some if not all of his soul which starts his path towards his own soul. This is further challenged in a battle with Raiden eventually where Raiden uses his Godly lightning to win. This "good" lightning creates a sort of Johnny 5 Short Circuit thing where he develops a good part of a soul to combat Sektor's (and the Grandmaster's) evil one.

This makes him question the Grandmaster's rules and he eventually embarks on a journey of self discovery.

Because of all this inner turmoil, and his ability to change his state, Havik soon takes a liking to Alloy as nobody knows what's going to happen with him. Will he be good? Will he be evil? Who knows! Haviks will just have fun with him until Alloy chooses!

But, that would have been too much to put in a bio, and seemed to span more than one game. Maybe next competition I'll continue it instead of updating it...

Here are my reviews for these ones:

Eastwind: His name sounds like he is from the X-men lol. I like the idea that he is a wild west kinda character (which is something new for the game) and his ties with the Red Dragon fit nicely. I like his powers as well so a well thought out character overall.

Remnant: You didn't develop his story much so there's not much to comment there as we practically know nothing other than that he is a powerful guy that was imprisoned and then released to serve someone. The idea of his masks changing his fighting style/speed/power is great though you didn't develop that as well. I wish you did coz it's a really fresh idea.

So between those two I prefer Eastwind just coz he is more developed even though I like both.

Blight: His story is interesting. I've already said that I like Chaosrealm characters so extra points for that :P His fatalities are so random which in this case fits coz...well hooray for chaos! I only wish you gave him more defining specials coz some of them are good while some of them look a bit copy-pasted from others.

Sogratse: I loved his bio. The way you incorporated his story from the point Shujinko was freed from Dairou, him changing from his Orderrealm origins to joining Havik and everything was generally a great idea imo. His fighting style is also something new as well. I mean the part where he either succeeds in charging and delivering great damage or failing and losing his own health. It would be hard to make him balanced that way though so he looks like a sub-boss kinda fighter to me.

I like both characters but Sogratse is a bit more original so he gets my vote for that.

Phantom: I've already given my thoughts on Phantom before so let's move on.

Wei Lu: He'd be like a cool rival to Shang Tsung coz he is also an evil sorcerer so generally a good idea. However we don't know much about him coz you didn't really develop his story. His powers are also not really something special which is a shame coz you have a nice idea but didn't really develop it. He would be a nice character!

My vote goes to Phantom coz he is more developed generally but both are good ideas for characters.

Xorah: Same as Phantom.

Gus: What to say here? He was one of my favs when I read through the entries He is so random that you gotta love him! His generic look, his over the top powers, his story, everything is lol worthy!

I like Gus a lot but he doesn't really fit in MK. And Xorah is a very good entry so it would be a shame not to vote for her. Sorry Gus :P

You're not out of the competition. According to The Rules, Alloy will be matched against each of the other six characters in your bracket. Once each character has fought every other, the two with the best records go on to the final 8.

Heh, thanks for the mini-review... I thought that their evasion/acrobatics may seem to give them an unfair advantage, but don't read too much into what they're capable of doing while using them. It boils down to Luren being able to jump a little higher than others and teleport, while Uresula can duck lower than others (without being able to immediately counterattack). The use of special moves during those motions (only two specific moves each, however) is probably what makes it seem over the top, but my thinking was that in the real game a smart player would know better. They would know that if Luren is in the air, there are four possible things he can do, three of which are easily blocked on sight, the other is a harmless teleport. If Uresula is on the ground, she may seem to be playing defensive, but the solution is to defend yourself from the only move she can use on the ground that is a threat (swan)... The fish just isn't accurate enough for that. It would probably be necessary to limit how long Uresula can stay on the ground, though... Or even have it cost a bit of meter to use special moves during their jumping/ducking. I thought about this a lot, heh, so I had a lot to say....

Day 2 Picks:
Group A: Remnant (I dig his search for a mask and how he's kept alive)
Group B: Blight (Very consistent, well-rounded and thought out character)
Group C: Wei Lu (A fallen monk with his design seems awesome to me)
Group D: Xorah (Great use of her unique weapon, it really helps make her)

As for you saying the story/bio/ending is too long, how else are we meant to get the (original) character across? It's not too long, I think you just don't like a story that has to be large to fill out the character and there characteristics.

As for 'you' being confused about Dai Kahn origins, I'm guessing you didn't read the top of the page where is says the name, height, weight etc etc. The name should give it away alone as to who he shares his origins with.

As for "using the daggers too much". Using them in 3 special moves out of 7 is in no way using them too much.

For his prime attire, you have to realise his background as to why he wears what he is wearing. He isn't going to be wearing shiny armour with a big spiked helmet is he.

Group A: Eastwind. Both are interesting concepts but Eastwind stands out in my opinion, especially liking his backstory.

Group B: Blight. THIS WAS A VERY HARD DECISION TO MAKE.

Group C: Phantom. AS WITH Group B, this decision was very hard to make. Still, it is worth noting that Wei-Lu is exceptional in his own right (and naturally gathers him a large number of people that are targeting him), but just because he has that power doesn't guarantee victory. I can see him and Kira fighting easily, since she's not too far from the White Lotus where she's currently staying...

Group D: Xorah. No question here.
